Skyline High School hopes to be able to provide Class of 2021 Seniors with as much of the traditional high school celebrations and year end events as possible.
As Covid restrictions are always changing, these are our current dates/plans based on today’s Covid restrictions in Phase 2 and are subject to change. We will adjust and update this information for Senior families throughout the Spring.
March 3rd: 1st Senior Meeting
Link sent out in SEL – this will be an opportunity for Senior Class Advisors and leaders, ASB, and Admin to give you the most up to date information we have about Graduation festivities and other senior events.
March 31st: Cap & Gown Pick Up
Students and families who purchased a cap & gown, graduation announcements, etc. will be able to drive to campus and drive through stations to pick their items up
May 26th: Cap and Gown professional photo day
June 3rd-8th: Senior Finals
Students will receive information about finals from each of their teachers. Teachers who host traditional, proctored final exams will do so following our regular bell schedule.
June 9th: Senior Breakfast, Yearbook pick-up, Teacher Farewell Tunnel – on campus
Students will be invited to celebrate these traditional events with their classmates. Possible activities may include decorating vehicles, a grab and go breakfast, watching the Senior Slideshow, etc. Students would then go back to their cars in phases and exit/drive through the farewell tunnel where staff will be there to say their goodbyes. More specific information to come soon as the Senior Class Council plans these events!
Senior recognition (evening) – virtual event
Students and families will be sent a YouTube link to watch our senior recognition ceremony from the safety of their homes.
June 10th: Textbook return, pick-up awards, grad tickets
June 11th: Senior Graduation – micro graduation ceremonies on campus
Students will be divided into small groups alphabetically (group size will vary based on Covid restrictions on June 11th). Students will be given a limited number of guest tickets (guest ticket #s will vary based on Covid restrictions on June 11th). Graduates and guests will arrive, masked, at varied times throughout their designated window on June 11th. Graduates will be distanced on our field as they wait for their moment to cross the stage and receive their diploma. Ceremonies, as well as speeches, will be recorded for guests to view at home later.
*Note: An opportunity will be provided to include photos in graduation regalia in the graduation video we put together for those who do not feel comfortable attending an in-person event.
